A LITTLE KNOW-HOW GOES A LONG WAY

Travel with
fewer question marks.

A practical starting point for your China journey. Check current official requirements for your own passport and route.

01 / ENTRY & TRANSIT

Start with how you’ll enter.

Transit without visa, other visa-free arrangements and a valid Chinese visa are different entry routes. The right route depends on your passport, trip purpose and complete itinerary.

Passport & permission

Check the applicable entry basis with official authorities. An exemption for one passport does not establish eligibility for another.

Your complete route

For transit plans, verify the journey before and after mainland China, the designated ports, permitted stay areas and timing.

Before you book

Check with your airline and official immigration channels. Our planning service is not an immigration determination.

Planning Altay, Hemu or Kanas? Confirm permission for the complete Xinjiang route. Do not assume a transit-without-visa stay covers the journey.

02 / GETTING AROUND

Connect the journey, not just the dots.

Build realistic time between your international flight, train connections and hotel check-in. For winter travel, allow additional room for changing road and weather conditions.

  • Use the exact airport and station names in your confirmed itinerary.
  • Tell us about ski bags and large luggage before confirming vehicles.
  • For the Altay package, included airport transfers start and end at Altay Xuedu Airport (AAT).
  • Keep hotel names and addresses available in Chinese for local journeys.
03 / EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS

A smoother first day.

  • Check current international-card support with your chosen payment provider, and prepare a backup payment method.
  • Confirm your mobile provider’s China coverage and your device’s SIM or eSIM compatibility.
  • For skiing, confirm equipment sizes and whether your insurance covers your planned activities.
  • Tell us your required teaching language, dietary needs and room preferences before booking.
