Ideas only · not packages

Sample Beijing → Chongli ski itineraries

Sketches for planning a short ski add-on near Beijing. These are ideas only — not sold packages, not fixed prices, and not immigration advice. Match your skill level via the Chongli comparison; Ikon holders see the Yunding variant and Ikon page. Confirm trains, shuttles, and open status with operators the week you travel.

Policies and pass rules change. Confirm with resorts and ikonpass.com. For TWOV stay-area and clock questions, verify with NIA / 12367 and China Transit Guide. Chongli / Hebei is commonly framed as TWOV-friendly with Beijing hubs in our notes — still re-verify lodging.

What we deliberately skip

Not recommended here

Xiling / Chengdu ski

We do not recommend Xiling Snow Mountain / Chengdu ski on this site. Prefer Beijing / Chongli hubs.

Jilin · not TWOV-friendly

Beidahu / Lake Songhua add-ons

Ski facts are on the Ikon page, but we do not sketch TWOV itineraries there. Marked not TWOV-friendly — verify stay rules on China Transit Guide.

On the mountain

  • Wear a helmet; rent pads while learning.
  • Book lessons in advance on peak dates — English instructors are limited outside major Chongli bases.
  • Weekday lift lines are usually kinder than weekend / holiday crowds.
  • Confirm travel insurance covers skiing / rescue.

Payments & cold

  • Set up Alipay / WeChat Pay with a foreign card before you arrive; keep some cash as backup.
  • Pack for dry cold in Chongli — layers, gloves, goggles.
  • Pre-book hotel transfers if you carry skis; station taxis can be small.
  • English may be limited outside bigger resorts and international hotels.

Policies and pass rules change; confirm with resorts and ikonpass.com. Ticket prices not listed — confirm on resort channels.
